How did you create the guaranteed purchase largest % of assets in the Farm Credit System?

We consistently took the shots resulting in profit diversification and loan growth in every year from 2017-24.

At different times we were able to buy more fixed, variable, or adjustable rates. We sold fixed rates and longer-term reset adjustable rates when rates fell at gains to manage risk. We bought at discounted levels with unique opportunities, one-time market events such as COVID and broker failures. We worked with originators to reduce and offset prepays and were able to keep the prepays close to our initial estimates.
